Double the fun with these flowering plants with edible flowers

The concepts of Look & Taste fit in perfectly with the home grow trend of today. The fresh flowers make the tastiest dishes even more beautiful. They are not only beautiful to see, but also tasty!
The plants are grown in specially formulated soil with compost, clay and organic plant food. The pots are made from 100% recycled material. The availability of the plants depends on the season. Tropaeolum Majus (East Indian cherry), Viola (Violet) and Borage (Starflower) are currently available.

Tropaeolum Majus (East Indian cherry)

The taste of the rich-flowering annual plant is fresh, slightly peppery and sharp and vaguely reminds one of radish or watercress. Both its leaves and its flowers are suitable for consumption. They are often used in salads, but can be used in other dishes as well.

Viola (Violet)

It is possible to decorate all kinds of dishes with these cheerful flowers. When the flowers are sugar-coated they can be used for decorating cakes or cupcakes too. Violets are soft and have a fairly neutral taste.

Borage (starflower)

Borage has a cucumber-like, slightly salty taste. The deep blue flowers can be used in all kinds of dishes.
